Pool & Spa Combinations in Melbourne.

CUSTOM CONCRETE POOL AND SPA DESIGNS, DELIVERED IN-HOUSE TO CREATE A COHESIVE OUTDOOR SPACE FOR BOTH EVERYDAY USE AND RETREAT.

Pool & Spa Combinations

A pool and spa designed together, from the beginning, produces a very different outcome to a pool with a spa added on. The proportions, materials, hydraulics and overall form work as a single resolved composition rather than two separate elements.

At Fine Art Pools, pool and spa combinations are designed and built in-house, with the relationship between the two elements considered from the very first design drawing.

The spa can be designed to overflow into the pool, sit adjacent to it, or be integrated directly into one end - depending on the site and the intended use.

Each combination is built from the ground up in concrete, allowing us to work to any form, proportion or finish.

TWO ELEMENTS, ONE DESIGN

Designed Together, Built Together.

The relationship between pool and spa is - how water moves between them, how they sit relative to each other and how the hydraulics are balanced. This requires more detailed design and construction coordination than a pool alone.
We manage this coordination in-house, from the initial design through to the final handover.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common Questions

How does a combined pool and spa work?
The pool and spa share a filtration and heating system, with water flowing between them through a weir or a connecting hydraulic system. The spa is typically set to a higher temperature than the pool.
Can the spa be heated independently?
Yes — the spa can be set and heated independently from the pool through the control system, reaching temperature within 30 to 60 minutes depending on the heater size and spa volume.
Do pool and spa combinations cost more to build?
The additional hydraulics, heating and finish involved in a spa add to the overall cost. We provide a clear breakdown during the quoting process so there are no surprises.
Can I have the spa overflow into the pool?
Yes — a spillover edge from the spa into the pool is a popular design feature that also adds a water sound element. We design this as part of the overall hydraulic layout.
