DESIGNED TO ENHANCE LIGHT AND CONNECTION

Glass Wall Pools in Melbourne.

CUSTOM CONCRETE POOLS WITH REFINED GLASS DETAILING, DESIGNED TO BRING LIGHT, TRANSPARENCY AND STRONGER CONNECTION TO THE HOME AND SURROUNDING SPACE.

Glass Wall Pools

A glass wall pool replaces one or more sides of the pool structure with a structural glass panel - allowing the water to be seen from the side rather than only from above, and bringing light into the pool from a new direction.

The effect creates a stronger visual connection between the pool and the surrounding space - whether that's a lower garden level, an interior room or a terrace looking out across the site.

At Fine Art Pools, glass wall pools are designed and engineered with the structural requirements built in from the start - not added as an afterthought to a standard pool design.

The glass, the pool shell and the surrounding structure are resolved together, producing an outcome that is both precise and refined.

STRUCTURAL PRECISION

Where Engineering Meets Design Intent.

Glass wall pools require structural engineering from the outset. The panels are thick laminated glass, engineered to handle the hydrostatic loads of the pool. The surrounding structure must be designed to receive and seal against the panel correctly.
We manage this coordination in-house - working with engineers on the panel specification, the pool shell design and the installation sequence to ensure a clean, watertight result.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common Questions

How thick is the glass in a glass wall pool?
Glass panels are 100mm thick laminated glass, engineered to handle the structural and hydrostatic loads of the pool. Panel sizing and specification is determined by a structural engineer.
Is the glass easy to maintain?
The glass itself is low maintenance. Standard pool chemistry and regular cleaning of the panel face keeps it looking clear. We cover maintenance in full at handover.
Can I have a glass wall on any side of the pool?
Yes - glass can be used on one, two or more sides depending on the design and site. The structural implications are worked through during design development.
Do glass wall pools cost more?
Yes - the engineered glass panels and associated structural work add to the overall cost. We outline this clearly during the quoting stage.
Can a glass wall pool be heated?
Yes. Glass wall pools are fully compatible with standard heating systems including heat pumps and solar. We include heating in the design scope if required.
What lighting works well with a glass wall pool?
Underwater LED lighting enhances the visual effect significantly, particularly at night. We typically design lighting into glass wall pools as a standard element.
